Disciplinary and regulation

Outer Temple Chambers is a leading set in the field of disciplinary and regulatory work noted in the legal directories as a first-tier set and is the current Chambers and Partners Disciplinary Set of the year 2013.

Members of chambers regularly appear in tribunals, acting both for the disciplinary or regulatory authority and for individual and corporate respondents alike.

A major part of our disciplinary and regulatory work is in the healthcare field, providing representation in disciplinary and regulatory hearings acting for doctors and dentists. More than 20 Members of Chambers regularly appear at the GMC and GDC, acting on behalf of medical practitioners. We are frequently invited to act for other healthcare professionals, including nurses, dental technicians, pharmacists, opticians, chiropractors and others regulated by their respective bodies such the NMC, GOC, GPC, GCC, and the HCPC, and also appear in internal hospital trust disciplinary hearings.

We represent healthcare professionals facing dual disciplinary and criminal investigations covering inquests, including jury inquests, and the full range of criminal charges, particularly fraud, sexual assault, dishonesty, medical manslaughter, and have years of experience in representing hospital trusts facing health and safety criminal charges, including representation at inquests, magistrates and the crown court.
