James Arnold has a specialist employment and discrimination law practice.
He has substantial experience in representing clients in complex and lengthy cases, with particular expertise in handling discrimination claims for the respondent, as well as for claimant employees. Arnold is regularly instructed by public sector organisations, including police forces, county councils and NHS Trusts, as well as by corporate clients. Claims encompass in particular disability, race, sex, age, gender reassignment and protected disclosures (whistle blowing).
He also maintains an extensive and wide-ranging advisory practice on all aspects of employment law, including TUPE and pension transfers, redundancy issues, compromise agreements for high-net individuals and directors, equal pay, restrictive covenants and bonus schemes.
