Addleshaw Goddard has accelerated its investment in its London energy offering with two new partner appointments.
Energy specialists Angus Rollo and Guy Winter, both from Shepherd and Wedderburn, will join the firm’s London corporate team to strengthen its capability in the energy sector.
Both partners are said to be recognised corporate practitioners in the energy sector and have particular expertise in advising on oil and gas, renewable energy and water and wastewater matters. Their clients include corporates, investment banks, private-equity houses and other funders who are active in the energy market on a range of corporate matters, including domestic and cross border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, joint ventures and reorganisations.
Rollo and Winter also have experience of acting for energy-sector clients in Africa, having acted on a number of high-profile matters in the region, including acting for Seven Energy — an independent Nigerian oil and gas development and production company — on various equity, equity-linked and debt fundraisings.
