Former US senator Saxby Chambliss has joined DLA Piper as a partner. He will be based in the firm’s Atlanta office and will advise clients across the country. During his 20 years in Congress Chambliss was involved in several major areas of legislative and regulatory policy.
In office he had a particular focus on issues related to national defense, homeland security, cyber security and agriculture, and most recently served as vice-chairman of the Senate select committee on intelligence. He was also a member of several other committees.
His experience with security issues dates back to his previous role as chairman of the intelligence subcommittee on terrorism and homeland security.
