Guy Ladenburg is a barrister specialising in serious and complex crime, licensing and regulatory law.

He prosecutes and defends serious and complex criminal cases in the Crown Court and Court of Appeal, in particular those involving heavy fraud, organised crime, sexual offences and the most serious offences against the person. He acts both as junior and leading junior.

He is a grade-three prosecutor and rape specialist for CPS London and has defended and prosecuted private prosecutions brought by local authorities for a range of criminal and regulatory offences, including under the Fraud Act.

Ladenburg advises small and medium-sized companies in respect of anti-bribery procedures under the Bribery Act 2010 and acts privately for clients at the Magistrates Court.

As well as being an experienced practitioner across the full range of liquor-licensing matters, representing applicants, local authorities and individuals in applications under the 2003 act, at first instance and appeal, Ladenburg frequently advises and represents police officers from forces throughout the country in inquests, criminal cases and disciplinary proceedings.

He also represents the interests of the police in coroners’ inquests into deaths in custody and other suspicious deaths. He has acted for officers from the Metropolitan, Suffolk, West Yorkshire, Cheshire, Humberside, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Northamptonshire forces.

Ladenburg is experienced in representing military personnel in the UK and overseas in courts martial.
