Dentons partners have unanimously elected partner Evan Lazar as chair of the firm’s European board.
Lazar replaces fellow legacy Salans partner François Chateau in the role. Chateau is also Dentons’ global vice-chair and will continue in that position.
Dentons’ incoming European CEO, Tomasz Dabrowski (31 October 2013), and outgoing European CEO, Dariusz Oleszczuk, were also elected to the six-strong board alongside European corporate co-chair John Flanigan, German managing partner Andreas Ziegenhagen and Kiev managing partner Oleg Batyuk.
Prague-based Lazar joined Salans a decade ago from Weil Gotshal & Manges (16 January 2004) and was co-chair of the firm’s real estate group and a member of its board. When Salans merged with SNR Denton and Fraser Milner Casgrain last year (8 November 2012) Lazar became a member of the combined firm’s European and global boards after helping guide the merger to fruition.
Chateau was elected as Salans’ board chair in 2010 (1 February 2010).
The European board focuses on setting Dentons’ strategy for the region.
