Wedlake Bell is holding senior partner elections, with three candidates vying for the job to succeed Martin Arnold who is set to become managing partner of the firm.
Employment partner Richard Isham, property partner Simon de Galleani and commercial partner Adam Edwards are all in the running for the position. Voting is due to close on Wednesday evening (30 January) with a further round of voting possible should there be no overall majority.
Arnold was elected as managing partner late last year (29 November 2012) following Wedlake Bell’s tie-up with Cumberland Ellis (1 February 2012). He took over immediately, leaving the position of senior partner vacant.
The successful candidate is likely to take up the role immediately.
Isham joined the Gray’s Inn firm in 1988 and was made up to partner in 1996. He is the only senior partner candidate from legacy Wedlake Bell, with de Galleani and Edwards both former Cumberland Ellis partners.
Edwards was appointed managing partner at Cumberland Ellis in June 2011 and led the firm into the Wedlake Bell merger.
