Addleshaw Goddard’s highest paid partner received a profit share of £592,789 in 2011/12, up by nearly 27 per cent on the previous year’s top payout of £467,580.
The firm’s LLP accounts show that the jump came as profit before tax rose by just over 28 per cent between 2010/11 and 2011/12, from £44.1m to £56.6m. The Lawyer reported in June that the firm’s net profit was up from £34.4m to £44.9m (21 June 2012).
Addleshaws’ accounts also show that average fee-earner numbers increased from 597 to 618 in 2011/12, while support staff numbers dropped from 420 to 398. The firm’s wage bill was down slightly, from £56.6m to £54.7m. The average number of partners at the firm in 2011/12 was 152, down from 157 the previous year.
Turnover at Addlshaw Goddard in 2011/12 was £169.5m, up from £161.9m in 2010/11.
