The European Commission has reported that the European Parliament’s Economic and Financial Affairs Committee (ECON) has voted unanimously in support of the agreement reached on 20 December 2013 with member states on the proposed directive on criminal sanctions for insider dealing and market manipulation (CSMAD).
On 17 January, the European Parliament announced that it would consider the proposal on CSMAD at its 3–6 February 2014 plenary session.
On 4 February 2014, the European Parliament subsequently reported that at its plenary session on 4 February 2014 it voted to adopt the proposed directive on criminal sanctions for insider dealing and market manipulation…
