Eversheds hires three partners to financial disputes and investigations practice

Eversheds has appointed three partners to its financial services dispute resolution and investigations (FSDR and Investigations) team in response to increasing client demand.

Mariafrancesca De Leo joins the firm’s Milan office as a partner from specialist financial services litigation boutique Riolo Calderaro Crisotomo. De Leo specialises in banking and financial services litigation, regulatory enforcement work and investigations and has acted in many high-profile banking disputes and regulatory matters in Italy in recent years.

Zia Ullah, an expert in anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and anti-corruption and international sanctions, joins Eversheds as a partner from Pannone, where he held the position of head of compliance advisory. He advises clients on legal and regulatory compliance issues, internal and external investigations, enforcement and licensing.

David Flack joins Eversheds as a partner from UBS, where he was in-house litigation counsel responsible for managing litigation and regulatory investigations for the investment bank in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Flack has been engaged in many high-profile litigation and regulatory matters in recent years and will help bolster the group’s investment banking practice.
