Marjan Poljak is a partner in the commercial and healthcare department in Karanovic & Nikolic.
Poljak is the partner responsible for the firm’s commercial and healthcare and employment departments. With more than 12 years of professional experience, he has taken a leading role in numerous M&A transactions in Serbia and in the region.
Apart from his vast involvement in transactional and general corporate work, Poljak is also specialised in different specific areas of law, including IT, data protection and public procurement. He has in-depth knowledge of specific industries such as a healthcare and pharmaceuticals, information technology and aviation. Over the past several years, he has headed and been working on the further development of a corruption investigations and white collar crime practice, which requires a high level of understanding of specific industries and clients, as well as an appropriate criminal law background.
Poljak is registered as an attorney at the Belgrade Bar Association (2005) and is vice-president of the Legal Committee of Foreign Investors Council (2010-13). He is a member of the International Bar Association (IBA).
He is fluent in English and Serbian (written and spoken).
