Monica Burch is Addleshaw Goddard’s senior partner and chairs the firm’s board. She is a partner in our contentious practice, advising on a wide range of claims in diverse jurisdictions including the US, South Africa, Kenya, Iceland, Ghana, India, Dubai, Tanzania and most European jurisdictions.
Burch litigates through arbitration and the courts, and her broad experience includes contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, passing off, the use of confidential information and copyright disputes. She has experience of US litigation having practised in a US law firm in New York. Burch heads our IP litigation practice.
She is a non-executive director of Channel 4 Corporation, a board member of charitable organisation PRIME (which promotes fair and equal access to quality work experience in the legal profession) and was appointed a recorder (civil) in 2010.
She was named by The Lawyer magazine as one of the ‘Hot 100 Lawyers’ in 2007 and 2011.
