Crispin Bridges Webb is a partner in the corporate group, specialising in corporate finance with particular emphasis on public and private mergers and acquisitions as well as fundraisings and regulatory work for public companies.
Clients range from young fast-growth companies to large multinational corporations, wherever based. Bridges Webb has also acted for a number of private equity houses.
His transactional work is for private companies as well as large corporates (UK and overseas) and public companies. Recent public company transactions include public company takeovers (acting for bidder and target, competitive, hostile and recommended) as well as flotations and fund raisings on both the London Main Market and AIM. In addition to transactional work, Bridges Webb also covers non-transactional work such as advice on compliance and corporate governance, directors’ training and restructurings.
He trained and qualified at Freshfields where he spent eight years working in the corporate team before moving to Eversheds where he built a portfolio of clients and headed the East Midlands corporate team. He joined Shoosmiths in May 2009.
Bridges Webb edited the Directors Chapter of Tolleys Company Law Handbook for 10 years and is recognised as being a leading expert in his field by Legal 500 and Chambers. He is a freeman of the City of London and a liveryman of the Tallow Chandlers’ Livery Company.
