Miriam brings a wealth of experience having spent 30 years in-house and in the field of outsourced litigation fields. Miriam joins Shoosmiths from Arrow Global, one of the UK’s largest providers of debt purchase and receivables management, where she was responsible for litigation activity conducted by the group.

Miriam previously led the litigation function at Robinson Way, a subsidiary of the Hoist Finance AB for 10 years, where she managed the in-house litigation team and external lawyers, maximising litigation performance in bought debt and client collections.

At Shoosmiths, Miriam will advise a number of lenders and debt purchasers on a wide range of strategic recoveries options within a fully compliant regulatory environment.

Miriam is an active member of the Civil Court Users Association where she was vice chair of the Northern region from 2005-2012 and is also a member of the Legal and Technical Committee.

Miriam is also co-chair of the North West discussion forum, which works to improve working relationships between creditors and advisers. She also holds regulatory appointments, including Consumer Credit Licensing Appeal tribunal member (1998-2014) and First Tier tribunal member (from 1998 to date).
