US firm Brown Rudnick is expanding into Paris through the hire of litigation partner Sébastien Bonnard from boutique Lacourte Raquin Tatar.
The French team will also include partner Nicholas Tse, who joined Brown Rudnick’s London office early last year from Gide Loyrette Nouel (12 February 2012). Bonnard, also a former Gide lawyer, worked alongside Tse in the past.
The duo both have experience advising on commercial litigation and international arbitration. Brown Rudnick CEO Joseph Ryan pointed to arbitration as a key driver behind the move, particularly relating to advice for clients from Francophone North Africa and the Middle East.
Bonnard will bring a team of lawyers and trainees with him to Brown Rudnick, including senior associate Hervé Le Lay.
In March this year Lacourte Raquin bolstered its partner ranks with the arrival of two corporate partners from Gide, rebranding from Lacourte Balas Raquin in the process (8 March 2013).
Brown Rudnick international disputes head Neil Micklethwaite said the firm had expanded rapidly in London in particular in the last four years.
