Scotland’s Shepherd & Wedderburn has boosted its energy and renewables practice with three new hires, including two lawyers from Pinsent Masons.
Clare Foster, who was head of Pinsent Masons’ banking and finance group in Scotland, and who focuses on power, infrastructure and renewables, joins Shepherd & Wedderburn as a partner in its corporate team in Edinburgh. Pinsent Masons senior associate Scott McCallum is also joining Shepherd & Wedderburn as a partner, but in the planning team in Glasgow. McCallum has experience in planning and environment work, as well as on energy, waste and mining projects.
Shepherd & Wedderburn has also hired Julian Poullain as an associate in its construction team in Edinburgh, which is part of the firm’s property and infrastructure practice. Poullain joins from the Co-operative bank in Manchester, where he was a legal counsel in its renewable energy and asset finance team.
Shepherd & Wedderburn now has 66 lawyers that can act on energy and renewable mandates, including 28 partners.
