Mohammed Zaman QC, a silk with commercial and international expertise, has joined the commercial and international groups at No5 Chambers.
Zaman QC, who is also a registered practitioner of the Dubai International Finance Centre (DIFC) courts and a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, is fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.

Zaman QC’s recent international cases have included appearing in the Dubai World Tribunal in the trial of the claim by the former chief executive officer of the then largest property developer in the world in his claim for long-term incentive payments; appearing in the Dubai World Tribunal in a trial where the claimant was seeking recovery of deposit of AED57m (£9m) paid over in connection with an iconic development that did not proceed; advising on a dispute between a contractor and an employer in a mega project in Pakistan; and being appointed by the ICC Paris as an arbitrator in a franchise dispute between a US hotel chain and its Italian franchisee.
In England, Zaman QC has a strong reputation in shareholder disputes, fraud, bribery, directors’ disqualification and restraint of trade.
