Bryan Cave has hired Dentons partner Dan Larkin as a transactional partner in London.
The hire follows Bryan Cave’s hire of Dentons’ Paris-based litigation head Constantin Achillas earlier this year (4 June 2013).
Larkin has a focus on asset-backed investment transactions and financings, advising clients in industries including hospitality and leisure, real estate, transportation, energy, construction, retail, media and entertainment.
Meanwhile fellow US firm K&L Gates has hired Dentons senior associate Matthew Walker as a partner in Doha. Walker is a construction disputes specialist but also provides non-contentious construction advice.
The departures are the latest in a number of losses for Dentons following its tripartite merger earlier this year (22 February 2013). In London, partners have left for Vinson & Elkins (15 July 2013) and Stephenson Harwood (1 May 2013).
However the firm has also brought on board several lateral hires, including Eversheds banking partner Byron Nurse, Latham & Watkins arbitrator Michelle Bradfield (22 April 2013) and SJ Berwin private equity partner Nicholas Plant (13 May 2013) in London and a number of partners in Germany and the US in particular.
