Addleshaw Goddard makes The Times’ Top 50 Employers for Women list for eighth time

Addleshaw Goddard has been named in The Times’ Top 50 Employers for Women 2014, which lists the organisations that are leading on workplace gender equality. The list is published in partnership with Opportunity Now, the workplace gender campaign from Business in the Community, and is being published as part of Business in the Community’s Responsible Business Week.

Monica Burch, senior partner at Addleshaw Goddard, said: ‘We are delighted to be named as a Top 50 employer for women for the eighth time. We have achieved some notable things in the last year — firstly around 80 per cent of the UK firm has been given training on diversity issues, including unconscious bias and its impact on the workplace. In addition, our female development programme, championed by tax partner Justine Delroy, ran for the second time and received excellent feedback from both employees and our clients.’

TheTop 50 is free for any employer with a UK presence to enter and involves a comprehensive submission process, which is managed and judged by Opportunity Now. All organisations within the Top 50 have demonstrated that gender equality is a key part of their business strategy, with consistent commitment to progressing women in the workplace covering their entire organisation, not just isolated areas.

Organisations submit detailed information on their internal processes, as well as external activity that promotes gender equality, diversity and inclusion and creates opportunities for women in a wider context. Each entry form is marked against a framework of best practice and assessed anonymously by a team of gender diversity experts within Opportunity Now. The Top 50 Employers for Women is unranked, and organisations are listed in alphabetical order.
