Gateley’s revenue has increased by 15 per cent from £67m to at least £77m in its second full year as a listed entity.

The firm also reported that adjusted earnings before interest and tax (EBITDA) stood at £14.7m for the 2016/17 financial year, up from £12.9m.

It its trading update statement, Gateley stated that trading in the second half of the financial year had exceeded expectations. 

It said: “The Group’s legal business lines continue to perform well and provide a strong platform for further expansion of the wider Group. The integration of our acquired complementary businesses, together with the continued investment in new staff and the development of our newly opened Reading office, have been a positive focus for us during the year.”

Gateley was the first UK law firm to take advantage of its alternative business structure (ABS) licence by listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2015.
