The University of Law (ULaw) is to offer Graduate Diploma in Law students the chance to upgrade the qualification to a full LLB for free.

Called the ‘Graduate LLB’, the course will be delivered entirely online. Students will study three additional modules over and above what they learned on the GDL, choosing from Employment Law; Family Law; Environmental Law; Human Rights Law; and Law of Organisations.

The online course starts its first module in July 2017.

New ULaw managing director Stelios Platis said: “With the Graduate LLB, we are combining the total flexibility of studying online with the full support from our expert academic team. Students will be able to add real value to their CV and accelerate their careers.”

To be eligible, students must hold already have a degree, and must have completed the first sitting of all of their ULaw GDL assessments.

Earlier this month the university pledged to refund the Legal Practice Course (LPC) fees of students who fail to secure employment within nine months of graduation.
