Trowers & Hamlins is to retain 11 out 14 if its autumn 2016 qualifying trainees, a retention rate of 79 per cent.
The result is a slight increase on the firm’s autumn 2015 figure, which stood at 71 per cent after five of seven trainees were given newly qualified (NQ) positions.
Earlier this year Trowers retained 86 per cent of its spring trainees after keeping on six of the seven qualifying lawyers.
The 11 trainees will take up NQ positions across eight of the firm’s practices. They are: commercial property; corporate; international construction; private wealth; residential property; international energy and natural resources; property litigation; and housing regeneration.
London will receive nine of the new solicitors while the firm’s offices in Exeter and Oman will each receive one NQ.
