Norton Rose Fulbright is keeping on 85 per cent of its qualifying trainees this autumn.

There were 20 final-seat trainees, and all applied for newly-qualified jobs. The firm made offers to 17, with all accepting.

Norton Rose Fulbright has generally posted strong retention figures, with at least 77 per cent of trainees kept on in 14 qualification rounds since autumn 2010.

Yesterday, Macfarlanes also announced an 85 per cent retention rate.

Of firms with more than 20 trainees, Freshfields is the best performer this autumn so far, having kept on all but two of its 42-strong cohort.
