Brabners has chosen BPP to teach the Legal Practice Course to its future trainees.

The firm had previously struck a “full-service” training deal with The College of Law, as it was then known, back in 2009.

However, from September 2016 it will send future joiners to BPP’s Manchester and Liverpool branches, while trainees will also do its Professional Skills Course once they have started.

Managing partner Mark Brandwood said: “We are impressed by the quality of the provision at BPP and want to ensure that all our future trainees can benefit from it. Their Liverpool and Manchester study centres are close to our offices and this presents welcome opportunities for us to work with our trainees even whilst they are at Law School and to help to integrate them into our culture, systems and processes from the earliest stage.”

“BPP is renowned for working with the leading law firms in the country, and around the world, and we feel that this makes them the right choice for us.”

BPP dean Peter Crisp added: “We are immensely proud that Brabners have become the 60th law firm to select BPP to deliver the Legal Practice Course exclusively to their trainees and we look forward to working with them over the coming years.”

The battle between ULaw and BPP has intensified following Kaplan’s withdrawal from the legal education market in 2015.
