Assistant in the Central Service Sterilisation Department at St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester.

Finding out shortly before completion that I was selling the wrong house to the wrong person.

What time do you usually leave the office?

I think it’s important to strike a balance between work and family commitments. I aim to be away between 7pm and 8pm.

What do you do at weekends?

Taxi driver for my children, Henrietta and Edward.

Bar Centro in Guildford.

If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you have been?

Travel agent.

Michael Smith, my senior partner at Titmuss Sainer.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Working with interesting clients.

What’s the toughest thing about your job?

Meeting the needs of clients while ensuring quality time with my family.

What’s your biggest work/career mistake and what did you learn from it?

Not working abroad when I was younger – carpe diem.
