HBJ Gateley Wareing has taken advantage of the weak property market to move into bigger offices in London.
The firm has boosted its office space by 50 per cent after moving from Bishopsgate into Fleet Place House in the City. HBJ currently has 50 staff in London, but plans to hit 75 in the near future ;by ;growing ;its corporate and restructuring practices.
London senior partner Craig Mitchell said: “The fundamental rent here is higher than before, but we negotiated a very generous rent-free period. If you spread all the inducements over the years of the lease, it brings the cost per square foot right down.”
