Bolly good show, girls

Staff at Addleshaw Goddard‘s Leeds office have had a spicy few weeks after spending a month learning how to dance Bollywood-style.

One of Tulkinghorn’s scribes got in touch with the ringleader of the Addleshaw Goddard Bollywood Babes, Emma Dewhirst, after the group wowed a live audience at the Yorkshire Dance Studios with a Bollywood dance routine.

Dewhirst said everyone had performed well despite their nerves, adding: “We were very brave because it was very embarrassing.”

The event was part of Addleshaws’ Big Week Out 2008 – three weeks of sheer volunteering madness across all three offices and involves more than 500 people.

Tulkinghorn notes that although several partners attended the four Bollywood lessons, none took the plunge for the live performance, which raised around £700 for Mencap and Barnardo’s.

Tulkinghorn believes a mixture of stage fright and carefully coordinated holidays got the better of them.
