Gillespie bags housebuilder boutique

Scottish firm Gillespie Macandrew has acquired specialist housebuilder firm Haig Scott & Co. On the back of the merger Gillespie will now be setting up a dedicated housebuilder team to further fortify its place as one of the leading mid-tier firms in Scotland. The merger marks the property firm’s fifth such deal in the past three years and is expected to contribute to the firm’s target turnover of £10m for 2007. Gillespie senior partner Simon Leslie said Haig Scott’s experience in the housebuilding sector adds another string to the firm’s bow. The merger has brought the firm’s total partner count to 22 and has boosted the staff numbers to 150.
