International head of private equity Simon Beswick to become managing partner from May 2003; Leslie Perrin to be Osborne Clarke’s first full-time senior partner

Osborne Clarke has appointed managing partner Leslie Perrin as the firm’s first full-time senior partner and international head of private equity Simon Beswick as its next managing partner.

Perrin will step into his new role when senior partner Chris Curling retires from the firm at the end of 2003 after fourteen years in management roles for the firm. Beswick will take over from Perrin in May next year.

Beswick headed Osborne Clarke’s national and international private equity practice before moving to the US two years ago to lead the firm’s Silicon Valley office. As the firm’s managing partner he will be based in London and Bristol.

Osborne Clarke’s operational division will be led by Chris Bull as chief operating officer, while Osborne Clarke Germany will be led by newly appointed managing partner Stefan Rizor.
