Stephen Hopkins to step into David Gray’s shoes as managing partner for Leeds and Manchester


Eversheds has appointed Stephen Hopkins as its new regional managing partner for Leeds and Manchester. He will succeed David Gray who was elected as firmwide managing partner in October. Hopkins, who is currently head of corporate for the region, will take up his post on 1 January 2003.

Gray said: “As head of corporate Stephen has directed the leading corporate team in the North of England and has a wealth of experience that he will bring to the role of regional managing partner. I wish Stephen every success in this new role, which I am sure he will be quick to make his own.”

Stephen Hopkins commented: “The competition in Leeds and Manchester is tough but David leaves a motivated team, determined to succeed.”

Peter Halpin will hand over his current role of national head of private equity to Mark Spinner in order to succeed Hopkins as head of corporate for Leeds and Manchester.
