Hammonds has promoted 11 associates to the partnership.
Four of the new partners, who will be promoted on 1 May 2007, are in the corporate team, with two each in construction, employment and intellectual property (IP), and one in property.
This reflects a different emphasis from last year, when the firm promoted a total of 17 lawyers comprising seven in the employment group, and five each in corporate and finance.
Geographically, the firm’s London and Leeds offices will both have four new partners, its Manchester office one, and the Munich office two.
Managing Partner Peter Crossley said: “The promotions reflect the talent that continues to thrive and grow within Hammonds and bears testament to the strength of expertise we are able to offer to our clients.”
“Our new partners will play an important role in Hammonds’ future development, and I am pleased on behalf of the whole firm to welcome them to the partnership.”
The new partners are: Steven Bate (construction, Leeds); Tim Hewens (corporate, London); Michael Hoffmann (corporate, Munich); Janette Lucas (employment, London); Alex Newman (IP/IT, Leeds); Michael Schneider (IP/patent and trademark attorney, Munich); Julian Scott (construction, Manchester); Andrew Sprake (property, Leeds); Alison Treliving (employment, London); Nick Watson (corporate, Leeds); and Andrew Whalley (corporate, London).
