DLA Piper joint-chief executive Lee Miller has been elected to serve another four years as head of the firm’s US operations.
The appointment means the firm’s leadership is likely to remain unchanged until at least 2013. Last week Miller’s UK ;counterpart ;Nigel Knowles said he intends to stand for re-election when his term ends in December (The Lawyer.com, 28 August). It is unlikely he will be opposed.
Miller’s term will run from January 2009 until December 2013. He has reappointed Terry O’Mally to serve as US managing partner.
Earlier this year the firm axed one chief executive role, with Baltimore-based Frank Burch standing down to become chairman.
