Eversheds corporate in new French push with Paris raid” />Eversheds is continuing to ramp up its presence in France, hiring a corporate finance partner from Paris firm Latournerie Wolfrom & Associés and relocating a real estate partner from Leeds.

The additions bring Paris up to a 10-partner office, led by former head of operations Colin Brown.

Lateral hire Pascal de Moidrey brings expertise in M&A, corporate restructuring, initial public offerings and private equity. He is Eversheds’ second senior-level lateral in Paris this year, following real estate partner Kristine Karsten, who joined in January with a team of three associates from Andersen Legal’s former French arm SG Archibald.

Meanwhile, Stephan Ford has moved to Paris on a two-year secondment to build up real estate investment. Ford was previously lead partner for Hammerson. That role will now go to Birmingham-based Parmjit Singh, while Ford will focus on the international side of the relationship.

Ford said: “The focus of my position will be to act as an interface between UK clients and French lawyers, although I’ll also provide the necessary expertise on English real estate law for French businesses.”

In real estate he joins Karsten and Paris real estate head Alexandre de Goüyon Matignon.

Eversheds’ success in Paris contrasts with Germany, where it has yet to secure its hoped-for merger.
