Baker & McKenzie has elected Laurent Epstein as the firm’s new Paris managing partner.
Epstein replaces Eric Lasry in the top French role, following Lasry’s election to Bakers’ global executive committee last month.
Fellow partner Denise Broussal has been elected as co-manager, and will be responsible for representing Paris on Bakers’ internal international committees.
Epstein has been a partner at Bakers since 1990 and specialises in mergers and acquisitions, while Broussal is an employment partner.
Lasry had been managing partner in Paris since July last year.
