LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae has continued its hiring spree of former Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer partners, hiring insolvency specialist Philippe Hameau in Paris.
Hamaeu had been partner at Freshfield’s Paris operation since 1997, and is the third Paris-based Freshfields partner to join LeBoeuf in the past few months.
Office managing partner Yves Huyghé de Mahenge and arbitration partner Eric Schwartz both quit Freshfields in September and joined LeBoeuf in November.
The firm also hired London-based real estate and environmental group partners John Bowman, Graham Prentice and Paul Watchman in August.
Hameau becomes LeBoeuf’s seventh Paris partner, and its first dedicated bankruptcy and corporate recovery partner. He will also handle litigation for the health and life sciences sector.
Huyghé de Mahenge said in a statement: “[Hameau’s] far-reaching knowledge of bankruptcy and corporate restructuring fits in perfectly with the strategy of development for the Paris office.”
