The Law Society has for the first time run a stand at the Welsh National Eisteddfod. The stand was officially opened at the beginning of last week's cultural festival at Bala in North Wales by the Welsh-speaking Attorney General, John Morris QC. It was jointly staffed by the Law Society regional offices in Wales, Gwynedd Law Society and the Associated Law Societies of Wales. Solicitors gave free advice in Welsh and English at the festival, and Welsh-language Law Society leaflets were handed out.
