Pinsents makes Major boob

Curiouser and curiouser. The week following the Major-Currie revelations, Tulkinghorn thought he might give David Hooper of Pinsent Curtis Biddle a call to see how things were. The eminent Mr Hooper, you will recall, advised John Major on his libel action against the New Statesman and the now defunct Scallywag, which is now threatening to take revenge.
But Tulkinghorn is wondering why, after numerous attempts, he was unable to get through to Pinsents. Is Major's case so complicated that every single person at the firm is working on it? Or are they all just too scared to answer the phone?
