Celebrity lawyer Simon Smith is to launch his own practice in London six months after quitting Schillings.
Smith, a former managing partner at Schillings , left the firm last December after winning a controversial injunction for golfing superstar Tiger Woods.
His shock departure from Schillings was shrouded in mystery, with the firm’s business director Christopher Mills insisting that Smith had “decided to move on to some new challenges”.
After a six-month break Smith plans to launch a media boutique in London.
“I actually set my firm up in February, but am only now getting in touch with people again,” he said. “I intend to expand it, probably into a new firm, that I’ll set up with another lawyer in three months or so, with offices and a team in London.”
Smith’s former clients include Hollywood actress Keira Knightley and footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
