Former Linklaters finance and tax partner Martin Krause is joined by two associates, taking the total size of Norton Rose’s capital markets team up to 15 lawyers and five partners.
Head of Norton Rose’s Frankfurt capital markets group Rüdiger Litten had been a senior associate at Linklaters before he was offered partnership at Norton Rose seven years ago. He said: “Apart from the fact that we all know each other – we are pretty much all former Linklaters people in this group – Krause is especially interesting because he was originally a tax lawyer and then developed into a capital markets lawyer.”
“In the German capital markets nothing really works without tax,” he added, “and much brain power is expended on to create tax-optimal structures.”
Norton Rose’s capital markets team advises primarily banks, which is a natural fit to Krause’s focus on large banking and financial clients.
