Linklaters has elected just 19 new partners globally, compared with 29 last year. The same percentage of partners (32 per cent) will be made up from the firm’s London base as in 2002. However, unlike last year, the firm is not making up any partners in intellectual property or real estate, where it has recently cut or de-equitised partners. From 1 May, it will have 500 partners.
