A Basingstoke man who claims that he suffered injuries as a result of medical negligence is suing a group of doctors for compensation. Craig Schofield has issued a writ against Dr John Williams and his partners, all of Basingstoke. He is also suing North and Mid Hampshire Health Authority and North Hampshire Hospitals NHS Trust, of Harness House, North Hampshire Hospital, Basingstoke. The writ does not specify the nature of the alleged negligence.

Etam is suing property consultant Roland Butcher over an alleged conspiracy with Robert Sutcliffe, the former head of Etam's property department. The writ alleges that Sutcliffe arranged for Butcher to be paid for work he had not done, and then Butcher paid part of the money to Sutcliffe or to his company, Taylors Retail Consultants. Etam is seeking damages for among other things: alleged deceit, fraudulent conspiracy and breach of contract. Etam has large property interests according to the writ – it has 226 stores with a total floor area of 92 million square feet.

Railtrack is being sued in respect of water supplies to King's Cross Station in London. Thames Water Utilities claims it is owed £213,037.89 for metered water supplies to the station. In addition, it seeks interest of £3,517.81 and continuing interest of £46.69 a day.

Gary Filkins, who was sacked from his job as financial director of Right Document Solutions, has launched a claim against his former employer. Filkins, of Fareham, Hampshire, has issued a writ claiming damages of £100,000. He claims he was wrongly dismissed on 28 June last year.

Josh Astor and the Hon Mrs Judy Astor seek accounts and inquiries of income and expenditure, payment of sums due, and interest from Bellview Property, trading as Tylden Lofts & Co, which managed three flats for them at 94 Finborough Road, London SW10. The writ accuses the company of failing to provide an account of rents in respect of the properties which the Astors owned from 31 October 1995 until 27 November last year.
