Mourant du Feu & Jeune is boosting its strength in the Cayman Islands with the hire of a new partner to head its funds team in the region.

Roisin Cater, previously a senior associate at offshore rival Ogier & Boxalls, joins Mourant to reinforce the firm’s focus on international financial business. Since coming to the Caymans in 1996, Cater has also worked as a senior listing executive at the Cayman stock exchange.

Mourant opened its Cayman office last year, and Cater’s arrival brings the number of partners in the islands to three. The firm also operates a Caymans team from London, headed by Stacey Overholt.
