Barclays has announced that it has completed a six-month review of its coveted legal panel.

As first reported on www.thelawyer.com earlier today (10 June) Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer has won a place on the banking giant’s general advisory panel. The magic circle firm joins Allen & Overy (A&O), Clifford Chance, DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary, Linklaters, Lovells and Simmons & Simmons.

In addition to the general advisory panel Barclays has 11 specialist panels including the lending and finance panel (formerly business banking lending and finance) which comprises 31 firms. Ashurst, Cobbetts, Freshfields, Norton Rose, Shearman & Sterling and Sidley Austin Brown & Wood have been added to that panel for the first time.

Here is a full list of the results for other principal specialist panels. New appointments are highlighted with an asterisk.
