Ashurst has voted in Clyde & Co’s former corporate head David Page as a partner in its financial institutions group.
As first revealed by The Lawyer (11 April), Page resigned from Clyde & Co after 19 years, in order to pursue his interest in insurance-linked securities, an area Clydes is not involved in.
Page specialises in corporate work in the insurance and reinsurance sector with clients such as Credit Suisse, Swiss Re and Zurich.
Adrian Clark, Ashurst’s head of corporate, said: “David Page has built a strong corporate insurance practice at Clyde & Co and his appointment will be of considerable benefit to our financial institutions practice.”
