The House of Lords has now given leave for the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire to appeal a decision that four members of his force who claimed damages over mental trauma they claim they suffered as a result of their involvement in the Hillsborough Stadium disaster in April 1989 were entitled to compensation for mental shock.
