Coffee nuts

Last week one of Tulkinghorn’s hacks attended what is already ranking as one of the most enjoyable, if bizarre, meetings.

First of all it was with Italians, always the most courteous of interviewees (especially with the laydeez). But the bizarre element reared its head because half the meeting took place in a kitchen.

Now, Tulkinghorn in no way wishes to embark upon any nationality stereotyping, but the reason the meeting was in a kitchen was because the hosts, London-based finance partners at Bonelli Erede Pappalardo Riccardo Sallustio and Andrea Tomas, wanted to reveal how to make a mocha. The verdict? “It was bloody strong.”
