Nabarros represents environmentalist

City firm Nabarro Nathanson defended environmentalist David Plumstead who was prosecuted for running a voluntary recycling scheme for 70 households in Kent. The firm's environment department took on the case, brought by Kent Waste Regulation Authority, as part of its pro bono work. Barrister Philip Mead, of 15 Old Square, agreed to act on the same basis. Partner Tom Symes says prosecuting a small non-profit making scheme was “draconian”. Two counts against Plumstead were dropped and he received a conditional discharge for the two remaining charges.
