Wedlake Bell was instructed by commercial property agency Edwin Hill on its £26.9m sale to Canadian property and professional services company Altus Group.
Corporate partners Tony Lane and Tim Bird acted for Edwin Hill alongside corporate tax partner Robin Dabydeen.
Altus Group received advice from in-house counsel Rose Oushalkas as well as Bird & Bird partner Simon Fielder in the UK and Goodmans partner Kari MacKay in Canada.
Edwin Hill has an annual turnover of £14.44m and operates from six offices throughout England.
Altus Group, which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, has 27 offices across Canada and plans to use the takeover as a platform to expand across the UK and worldwide.
The company will operate in the UK as Altus Edwin Hill.
The purchase marks the first international acquisition by Altus, which has expanded across Canada since going public in 2005.
