Sir Richard Branson – driven, ambitious and always willing to look for new opportunities. And he owns a Caribbean island.

What’s the best thing about your job?

The diversity of the role; I am also compliance officer for legal practice (Colp) at Paul Rooney Solicitors, which is owned by Antony Hodari.

What’s the toughest thing about your job?

Coping with the ever-changing landscape of personal injury litigation.

What book are you reading?

The Litigators by John Grisham.

What’s the most exciting deal/case you’ve worked on and why?

The most satisfying case was against a sweet manufacturer following the death of a child who had choked on a lolly. It was a painful journey for the family, but they eventually received some recognition for their loss.

If you were stranded on a desert island what two luxury items would you take?

An iPod and a yacht.

What’s the longest you’ve worked without sleep?

15 hours.

If a movie was being made about your life, which actor would play you and why?

Sean Bean – a down-to-earth Yorkshireman.

Who would you least like to be stuck in a lift with and why?
