Linklaters has re-elected Michael Lappe as German senior partner for a second term.
Corporate partner Lappe will stay on as senior partner until 2010, having first been elected to steer the Linklaters’ German branch in 2004.
Lappe said: “I am pleased to continue on the set course with our German partners and the entire firm. We have achieved a great deal in recent years.”
Lappe is one of the key partners for Linklaters relationship with Linde, the gas and engineering company. His other major clients include Belgian investment company Groupe Bruxelles Lambert.
As senior partner, Lappe is responsible for the strategic development of the firm in Germany, which now numbers 350 lawyers in four offices.
